Brazilian state-run lender BRB BMFBOVESPA:BSLI3 suspended three employees following a police operation targeting a scheme involving unauthorized deductions from accounts of retirees and pensioners affiliated with the Federal District government.Federal District police launched the operation earlier on Tuesday, executing four temporary arrest warrants, three preventive arrest warrants and 10 search and seizure warrants. It did not name BRB in a statement, but Brazilian media has reported that three of the lender's employees were arrested.BRB said in a securities filing that the operation stemmed from a complaint filed by the bank itself. The firm had been targeted in a separate fraud probe last week along with digital lender PicPay NASDAQ:PICS.
