About this update from Brb Banco De Brasilia Sa
Brazil's central bank on Friday rejected a report that one of its directors, Ailton Aquino, had asked lender BRB to buy assets of liquidated Banco Master, which is currently under investigation for alleged fraud. The central bank said that the department led by Aquino had identified inconsistencies in the transfer of Banco Master's credit portfolios to lender BRB, and immediately launched rigorous investigations into it. "Aquino states that he obviously never recommended the acquisition," the central bank said in a statement, adding that the director made his information available to authorities. The comments were made in response to a report in newspaper O Globo.
