TORONTO, July 28, 2011 /CNW/ - Bird Construction Inc. announced today that an operating subsidiary of the Company is part of a bidding group that has recently been selected as the Successful Proponent to design and build the Restigouche Hospital Centre located in Campbellton, New Brunswick. Bird's role relates to the design and construction of the facility through an interest in a joint venture arrangement with SNC-Lavalin Construction (Atlantic) Inc. The consortium plans to reach financial close shortly and expects to commence construction in the fall of 2011. At this time, there can be no assurances that Bird will receive a contract award related to this project.
