After Four Months of Renovation, La Rascasse Takes a New Turn
Press Release - Monaco, April 14, 2026 - This Thursday, April 9, La Rascasse, a legendary bar in the Principality of Monaco, reopened its doors to the public after four months of renovation work led by the Construction and Built Heritage Department of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer. Located on Port Hercule, like a watchtower overlooking Monaco's most prestigious motor races, La Rascasse now pays tribute to motorsport in a completely transformed setting. More than just a bar, La Rascasse is a vibrant social hub where the spirit of sport meets celebration, with elegance and simplicity.
For over 70 years, it has been one of the must-visit nightlife destinations in the Principality. On Thursday, April 9, La Rascasse, an iconic venue on Monaco's port, unveiled its brand-new look to guests. Reinvented as a chic sports bar, the venue now celebrates motorsport through a striking ceiling made of car engines and mechanical parts, a checkered floor reminiscent of starting grids, and a red-and-white décor.
On the walls, framed photographs of historic races; on a podium, drivers wearing helmets and racing suits, including that of Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc. After four months of renovation, the spirit of La Rascasse has been reimagined, embodying the raw energy of a racing circuit.
From Afterwork Drinks to Festive Nights
From 5:30 PM, La Rascasse welcomes its first guests for afterwork drinks, indoors or on the terrace facing the famous tight corner of the Monaco Grand Prix circuit. Guests can enjoy cocktails at preferential prices from 5:30 PM to 10 PM on weekdays and from 7 PM to 10 PM on Saturdays, all set to the sound of live bands from Thursday to Saturday. From 11 PM onwards, the party continues with DJ sets.
The menu features signature cocktails and gourmet finger food to share. Highlights include the Rascasse Paddock (Lost Explorer Mezcal, crème de cassis, lemon, ginger beer), the Pit Stop (Neft Vodka infused with tonka bean, Frangelico, coffee), and the Pole Position (Havana 3 Years rum, melon liqueur, Cointreau, lemon, pineapple juice, orgeat syrup).
These can be paired with Mini Hot Dogs (grilled sausage, fresh spinach, crispy potato chips, parmesan, homemade ketchup and mustard), Rascasse Croquettes (crispy ham croquettes with a creamy melting center), or Spicy Guacamole (creamy avocado with lime, fresh pico de gallo, and crispy corn chips).
