APPOINTMENT OF NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
NWF Group plc ('NWF Group' or the 'Group'), the diversified sales and
distribution company, announces the appointment of David Robert Southworth, as a
Non Executive Director of the Group with effect from 1 May 2006.
David Southworth, FCCA, age 57 was Chief Executive and then Executive Chairman
of P&P plc, which subsequently became Skillsgroup plc, a market leader in the IT
technical training market. David was instrumental in transforming the business
from a small private product-based business, to a major provider of people-based
IT consultancy and training. Over the course of his fourteen year tenure at P&P
/ Skillsgroup he oversaw more than 20 acquisitions, flotation in 1988, and grew
the business to a market capitalisation of over £300 million.
David comes to NWF with a wide-ranging understanding and experience of both
quoted and unquoted companies the majority of which operate from the North West
of England, where he has spent the majority of his working life. He has been and
is currently chairman of a number of diverse businesses, listed and private,
whose activities stretch from manufacture to marketing and software.
