Anglo Canadian Uranium announces appointment of new director

Anglo Canadian Uranium Corp. (URA on TSX.V) (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert J. MacPherson as a director of the Company, effective April 24th, 2009. Mr. MacPherson will compliment the Company's strategic uranium development programs. He has a strong background of knowledge in mining, equity markets and finance, and will provide strong leadership and negotiating skills to the board.

Robert MacPherson has held the position of President of the Grain Workers Union for the past 12 years, and has worked in the Grain Industry for 36 years. During his tenure as president, he also held the position of Trustee of the Union Pension Board.
