Amex Exploration Inc. starts a new drill program at Normetal

MONTREAL, Nov. 21 /CNW Telbec/ - Amex Exploration Inc. (AMX - TSX-V) is
pleased to announce the beginning of a first phase of drilling on high grade
base metal massive sulfide Great Plains showing located on the eastern portion
of its 100% owned Normetal property in the Abitibi region of Quebec, Canada.
This first phase of drilling will be starting with a three drill hole program
totaling a minimum of 1,200 meters.
The Great Plains showing was discovered from surface prospecting and
follow-up drilling during the 1974-75 campaign by Great Plains Exploration
inc. This showing is considered as an Archean volcanogenic massive sulfide
mineralization such as the old polymetallic Normetal mine located at about
20 km to the west of the showing. The Normetal mine has produced some
11 Million Tons at 2.15% Cu, 5.15% Zn, 0.55 gpt Au and 45.25 gpt Ag.
This showing would be located just north of the stratigraphic horizon of
the Normetal mine, precisely in the lower member of the Normetal Formation
composed of a sequence of intermediate lavas. The intercepts of massive
sulfides cut by drilling are situated at the interface between a mafic
volcanic unit and a felsic tuffaceous unit. Many mineralized intersections
with significant values were reported including the following best results:

In the mid 90's, Falconbridge optioned the property and execute some
additional holes at depth to test potential extensions without to much
success. However, down hole geophysics surveys, also executed by Falconbridge,
has detected off hole anomalies indicating the presence of a conductor at
depth and at about 150 meters to the east. More recently, an airborne MegaTem
survey has also detected and confirmed the same conductor.
The proposed drill program is to verify the untested off hole conductor
located at a depth of 250 meters with three drill holes at a spacing of
60 meters between the holes. The results should be available around
mid-December.

This press release has been prepared and approved by Pierre O'Dowd as
Qualified Person in accordance with 43-101 regulation. Mr. O'Dowd will also
supervise the drill campaign.
