BOLOGNA AIRPORT: ONE MILLION PASSENGERS IN APRIL (+2.5%) Best April ever for Marconi Airport

Another month of growth for Bologna Airport. In April, despite uncertainties related to the geopolitical situation, Marconi Airport exceeded the one million passenger mark -reaching exactly 1,050,047 passengers , with an increase of 2.5% compared to the same month in 2025. This is the best April in the history of the Emilia-Romagna region's main airport.

International traffic recorded the strongest growth, with 800,988 passengers , up of 2.6% compared to 2025. Domestic traffic also increased, reaching 249,059 passengers , up of 2.1% year-on-year. Aircraft movements totaled 7,415 in April, with an increase of 1.7% compared to 2025, while freight amounted to 3,625 tons, showing only a slight decrease of 1.7% compared to the same month in 2025. April 3 (Good Friday), with 39,105 passengers , was the busiest day of the month.

Top destinations from Bologna Airport in April were Catania, Tirana and Barcelona, followed by Palermo, Paris CDG, Madrid, Brindisi, Bucharest, Cagliari and Amsterdam.

In the firs t four months of the year, total passengers reached 3,289,312, up of 4.2%, while aircraft movements amounted to 23,678, with an increase of 2.9% compared to the same period in 2025. Freight totaled 13,802 tons, down of 5.1% year-on-year.
