BOLOGNA AIRPORT: ONE MILLION PASSENGERS IN APRIL (+2.5%) Best April ever for Marconi Airport
Another month of growth for Bologna Airport. In April, despite uncertainties related to the geopolitical situation, Marconi Airport exceeded the one million passenger mark -reaching exactly 1,050,047 passengers , with an increase of 2.5% compared to the same month in 2025. This is the best April in the history of the Emilia-Romagna region's main airport.
International traffic recorded the strongest growth, with 800,988 passengers , up of 2.6% compared to 2025. Domestic traffic also increased, reaching 249,059 passengers , up of 2.1% year-on-year. Aircraft movements totaled 7,415 in April, with an increase of 1.7% compared to 2025, while freight amounted to 3,625 tons, showing only a slight decrease of 1.7% compared to the same month in 2025. April 3 (Good Friday), with 39,105 passengers , was the busiest day of the month.Top destinations from Bologna Airport in April were Catania, Tirana and Barcelona, followed by Palermo, Paris CDG, Madrid, Brindisi, Bucharest, Cagliari and Amsterdam.
