Before diving into our third quarter results and portfolio progress, I want to briefly highlight the unmet need that Aperis set out to tackle and why we are uniquely positioned to address that challenge. Aperis is a commercial stage biotech company targeting the over-activation of the complement system an innate defense mechanism in the immune system that protects the body from acute infection and illness.
