About this update from Wuestenrot & Wuerttembergische Ag
Quarterly Statement as at 50 September 2025 Wüstenrot & Württembergische AG Performance of business operations Preliminary calculations by the Federal Statistical Office show that the German economy grew by 0.5% in the third quarter of 2025 compared to the previous year. The EU reached a preliminary agreement with the US on new customs policy framework conditions for trade in goods. This led to a noticeable increase in customs duties for European export companies. The business performance of the Wüstenrot & Württembergische Group (W&W) developed positively as at 50 September 2025. In the first nine months of the 2025 financial year, new business and existing business in almost all segments achieved significant growth, in some cases in double digits, compared with the same period of the previous year. The year to date underpins the goal of significantly increasing consolidated earnings in accordance with IFRS this year and also further increasing HGB earnings in the individual financial statements of W&W AG. Selected Group key figures The key portfolio figures increased compared with the previous year. The portfolio of building loans rose from €28.4 billion to €29.7 billion. Insurance revenue (technical income) in accordance with IFRS 17 also increased. In the life and health insurance segment, it rose by 4.8% to €955 million (previous year: €911 million), and in the property/casualty insurance segment by 5.2% to €2,181 million (previous year: €2,075 million). In the housing segment, new business volume increased by 6.4%. New business in life insurance, consisting of regular premiums and single premiums, grew by 14.1%. In the property/casualty insurance segment, annual premium income increased by 7.8%. The result for the housing segment continued to be characterised by an expected decline in the net measurement gain/loss, continued investments for the upcoming introduction of the new core banking system in line with previous years, and higher risk provisions. In life and health insurance, pre-tax earnings improved due to a higher underwriting result. However, the future reduction in corporation tax resulted in a charge from the revaluation of de- Building loan portfolio 1 New business volume housing (new construction financing business (including brokering for third parties) & new home loan savings business (gross)) Insurance revenue life and health insurance segment New life insurance business (regular and single premium) Insurance revenue property/casualty insurance segment Annual portfolio premium (new and replacement business; property/casualty insurance) 1/1/2025 to 1/1/2024 to ferred taxes.
