Vista Energy BMV:VISTA/A said on Monday it expects to invest $5.6 billion between 2026 and 2028, a 17% increase from November projections, following its acquisition of Norwegian oil group Equinor's OSL:EQNR Vaca Muerta assets in Argentina.
The oil company also raised its 2026 capital expenditure forecast to $1.8 billion, up 12.5% from its prior outlook, and lifted its 2026 adjusted core earnings projection to $3 billion, up 58%.
2028 production target: 208,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed), up 16% from previously disclosed target
2030 production target: 250,000 boed, up from 200,000 boed projected in November 2025
Vista expects "significant improvement in cash generation," with cumulative free cash flow of $2.8 billion between 2026 and 2028
Equinor announced in February a deal to sell its onshore business in Vaca Muerta to Vista for $1.1 billion
