Human Rights Policy Statement
Human Rights and Our Values in Action
This Policy Statement reflects Valero's commitment to respecting internationally recognized human rights principles throughout our operations and complying with all applicable laws and regulations. We clearly articulate our commitment to upholding these principles in our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. In our Conduct Guidelines for Business Partners, we put forward our expectations for business partners to also uphold these principles and encourage them to develop their own approach in their operations consistent with these expectations.
Valero recognizes that governments are ultimately responsible for establishing and enforcing legal frameworks that protect human rights within their jurisdictions. Valero supports these efforts and integrates human rights considerations into our business practices to help promote respect and accountability across our operations.
While this Policy Statement is uniquely our own, it is informed by the:
United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights
Universal Declaration of Human Rights
International Labor Organization's Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work
Valero's commitments that reflect our intent regarding human rights include:
Prohibition of Slavery, Human Trafficking and Child LaborWe do not condone and strive to eliminate all forms of forced labor, child labor, slavery, and human trafficking in our workplace.
Safe and Healthy Work EnvironmentWe strive to maintain safe, healthy, and secure workplaces.

Business Partners and SuppliersValero has a large and diverse network of business partners and suppliers. We expect them to comply with all applicable laws and regulations; to avoid and eliminate all forms of forced labor, child labor and discrimination in the workplace; to respect their employees' rights to join, or not to join, a labor union; and to commit to bargain in good faith with all legally recognized labor unions.
