Upper Canada Gold Provides Update on Planned Acquisition of Pine Tree-Josephine Property in Mariposa, California

Toronto, Ontario CANADA, October 12, 2012 /FSC/ - Upper Canada Gold Corporation (UCC - TSX Venture),
Further to Upper Canada Gold Corporation's ("Upper Canada" or "the Company") (TSXV: UCC) news release of January 26, 2012, the Company announces that it has agreed with the Vendor of the Pine Tree-Josephine Property to extend the closing date to such date as may be designated by Upper Canada up until April 16, 2013.  This represents a three month extension to the closing date.  The Company has paid the Vendor USD$40,000 in exchange for this extension.  All other terms of the acquisition remain unaffected.
