UFG Insurance is pleased to announce that Kathy Jewell has been appointed vice president (VP), regional manager of its Midwest region. In this role, Jewell will be responsible for developing and executing underwriting strategy to drive profitable growth across a six-state territory of Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota, fostering strong relationships with distribution partners. "Kathy is an accomplished insurance executive, and I am confident she will be a valuable addition to our regional leadership team while providing strong direction for our Midwest region," said VP of Field Operations Greg Francis. "Her extensive experience has equipped her with a deep understanding of the industry and the needs of our agency partners. With her proven track record of building positive business relationships, leading high-performing teams and delivering profitable growth, she is well positioned to support the continued success of our agents and the Midwest region." Jewell joins UFG with over 25 years of insurance industry experience. Most recently, she served as area vice president for a global brokerage firm. Prior to that, she spent more than two decades with a large national carrier where she held leadership roles, including vice president, commercial insurance manager, and vice president, regional manager. She holds a bachelor's degree in actuarial science from Bowling Green State University and the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) professional insurance designation.
