At Tubos Reunidos Group, we have already produced more than 10,500 tons of O-Next®, the world's first seamless steel tube with net-zero CO₂ emissions (Scopes 1 and 2). Over 9,000 tons have been purchased by companies in the United States such as Steel Service Oilfield Tubular Inc. and B&L Pipeco, and more than 1,000 tons have been delivered to customers in Europe including Van Leeuwen, Hoberg & Driesch, Commerciale Tubi Acciaio (CTA Group), Grupo Cuñado, Huisman and Buhlamn.
Thanks to the trust of these companies, we are turning our commitment to sustainability, innovation and industrial decarbonization into reality. Our O-Next® tube offers a truly unique solution worldwide, manufactured entirely without fossil fuels, using 100% renewable electricity and biogas. It maintains the same technical and mechanical performance as our conventional products, with one key difference: the energy source and the improvements we've implemented to reduce its carbon footprint.
As our CEO Carlos López de las Heras explains:
"Our goal is to continue growing and offer our clients solutions that help accelerate the decarbonization of their manufacturing processes. We will be by their side to meet their demand and support them through the energy transition-out of commitment and responsibility. Every step we take toward climate neutrality benefits all of us and future generations."
Innovation, sustainability and industrial strength
This milestone is the result of the strategy we launched under our 2021-2026 Strategic Plan, which focuses on industrial investment, energy efficiency, circularity and environmental impact reduction.
A key example is the reunification of our steel mills, which has allowed us to consolidate the first phase of tube production into a single site, resulting in significant decarbonization gains. Our electric arc furnace (EAF)-based technology already positioned us as a low-emission manufacturer. To bring O-Next® to life, we went further-integrating recycled raw materials and optimizing all manufacturing processes.
Today, we reaffirm our position as the world's first producer of net-zero seamless steel tubes. And we remain committed to being the industrial partner that supports our customers in building a cleaner, more sustainable future.
