Tubacex S.A. (hereinafter, the "Company"), in compliance with the provisions of Article 227 of the Consolidated Text of the Securities Market Law, hereby announces that at its meeting held today it resolved that Mr. Ignacio Mataix will assume the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective September 1, 2026.
Likewise, with effect from the same date, the Board of Directors has also accepted the resignation of Mr. Manuel Moreu as a director for personal reasons.
The Board of Directors wishes to publicly express its gratitude to Mr. Moreu for his valuable service as a director since joining the Company in 2015, and especially for his leadership as Chairman over the past two years.

Tubacex appoints Ignacio Mataix as its new Chairman, effective 1 September The Board of Directors has resolved to appoint Ignacio Mataix as the new Non-Executive Chairman of Tubacex, replacing Manuel Moreu.Ignacio Mataix, until now Vice-Chairman of the Board, has an in-depth knowledge of the Group and its strategy, as well as extensive experience in the management and transformation of large industrial and technology companies.
Manuel Moreu has held various responsibilities on the Board of Directors over the past eleven years, including that of Non-Executive Chairman
Ignacio Mataix joined the Company in April 2024 as an Independent Director, has chaired several Board committees and has served as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors to date. His experience on the Board provides him with an in-depth knowledge of the Group, its strategy and the markets in which it operates.
The Board of Directors and the entire Tubacex organisation wish to express their deepest gratitude to Manuel Moreu for his dedication, commitment and contribution to the Company's industrial project over the eleven years during which he has held different positions on the Board of Directors. His training as a naval engineer, together with his experience on the governing bodies of companies such as Iberdrola, Iberdrola Renovables and Gamesa, has provided the Group with valuable technical, strategic and corporate governance insight. His knowledge and experience have accompanied Tubacex through a significant period of transformation, diversification and development, contributing to the strengthening of its industrial project and its positioning in highly demanding markets.
For his part, the new Chairman, Ignacio Mataix, has extensive experience in the management and transformation of large industrial and technology companies, with particular expertise in the aerospace, defence, engineering and industrial services sectors. Between 2018 and 2023, he held various executive positions at Indra, initially as Executive Director and General Manager of the Transport and Defence business and, from May 2021, as Chief Executive Officer of the
Company. He is currently Executive Chairman of Serveo. Previously, he served as CEO and General Manager of the ITP Group for 14 years, where he developed a significant part of his career in the aerospace and defence industry. During this period, he also held positions as a Director of EUROJET GmbH, Chairman of Europrop and Chairman of Precicast Bilbao. Prior to this, he was General Manager of Corporate Development at SENER, one of Spain's leading engineering and technology groups.
Mataix began his professional career at ABN Amro Bank, where he rose to the position of Managing Director in London, and subsequently served as General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of ANM AMRO SA, SVB.
He holds degrees in Law and Economics from ICADE and has completed international executive education at IESE Business School.
