An early applicant under Health Canada's Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations, True Leaf has passed through the preliminary and enhanced screening process of Health Canada's review and is currently awaiting a "ready-to-build" approval for a facility in the Village of Lumby, British Columbia.
True Leaf day-to-day operations are led by CEO Darcy Bomford, the founder and former CEO of Darford International; a Vernon, BC-based pet nutrition company.
As the MMPR License will provide strains and extracts to support pet medication products, the company believes there is an opportunity to market functional hemp-based pet food, treats, chews & supplements to the giant pet industry.
