REPURCHASE OF SHARES INTO TREASURY

Today the Company repurchased into Treasury 159,500 Ordinary shares at 154.97 pence per share.

Following the transaction, the Company holds 390,475,463 Ordinary shares in Treasury. The shares in issue less the total number of Treasury shares is 933,159,787.

The Company will only re-issue shares held in treasury at a premium to net asset value.
