Toyota Tsusho Corporation jointly operates an LNG Bunkering Business in Chubu region of Japan through joint ventures*1 established together with Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK), Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. ("K" LINE) and JERA Global Energy Solutions Pte Ltd. (JGES).
On September 30, LNG Bunkering Vessel (LBV) KAGUYA successfully completed its 200th safe bunkering operation at the Port of Mikawa.

KAGUYA, Japan's first LBV, was delivered in October 2020. The vessel is based at the JERA Kawagoe Thermal Power Station in Mie Prefecture and has supplied LNG fuel to ships in the Chubu region through ship-to-ship bunkering operation.
LNG is considered as a promising alternative marine fuel to replace heavy fuel oil in response to increasingly stringent international regulations on marine emissions.
Compared to heavy fuel oil, LNG is expected to reduce emissions of sulfur oxides (SOx) and particulate matter (PM) by approximately 100%, nitrogen oxides (NOx) by up to 80% and carbon dioxide (CO2) by approximately 30%.

Toyota Tsusho Group will continue to contribute to decarbonization and carbon neutrality in the logistics sector by globally supplying LNG and biofuels to ships as solutions to reduce environmental impact.
