Toyota Boshoku Corporation (Head Office: Kariya, Aichi Prefecture; President: Masayoshi Shirayanagi) has decided that its Indian subsidiary, Toyota Boshoku Automotive India Pvt. Ltd., will construct a new plant in Sambhajinagar City, Maharashtra State, India, as a base for business expansion in western India.
Toyota Boshoku is promoting its "India Challenge 1000" initiative, aiming to achieve revenue of 100 billion yen in India by 2030. In addition to advancing product development for the Indian market, the Company is strengthening its competitiveness through localization of procurement and production. The construction of the new plant is part of these efforts to reinforce its production structure in India and achieve this objective.
The new plant is scheduled to begin production of automotive seats and other automotive components in the first half of 2029. Products manufactured at the plant will be supplied to a new plant of Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd.
