Source: MarketScreener
TotalEnergies and MK Land Holdings Berhad have reached financial close on a 30-MWac (around 50MWp) solar power plant in Kulim, Kedah, in Malaysia.
According to POWERLINE, the project was awarded by the Malaysian Energy Commission in August 2023 under the Corporate Green Power Programme to a consortium comprising TotalEnergies, holding 49%, and Solar Citra Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of MK Land Holdings Berhad, holding 51%.
The facility is expected to generate around 1.5TWh of electricity over its lifetime, with output sold under 21-year power purchase agreements to major industrial and technology customers in Malaysia. Construction will begin once a notice to proceed is issued.
