3. Reason

While aiming for continuous dividends, we are working to stabilize our management foundation. Additionally, to strengthen total shareholder returns, including share buybacks, we announced in our medium-term management plan on May 14, 2024 that we are targeting a dividend payout ratio of 20- 30%, with a goal of achieving a dividend payout ratio of 30% or more in the medium to long term.

Regarding the distribution of surplus funds (interim dividend) with September 30, 2024 as the record date, after comprehensively considering the above dividend policy and business performance, we have decided to increase the dividend by 5 yen per share to 35 yen (compared to the recent dividend forecast of 30 yen). Similarly, we plan to increase the year-end dividend by 5 yen per share from the previous forecast to 35 yen, bringing the annual dividend to 70 yen per share, an increase of 10 yen per share from the previous forecast.
