(Reason for differences)

Net sales in the first six months (interim period) of the fiscal year under review decreased compared with the same period of the previous fiscal year, mainly reflecting the sales volume of titanium ingots for general industrial use, which remained on a par with the level of a year ago, and the stalling recovery in demand for THC catalyst. In terms of earnings, profits exceeded the previously announced figures, mainly

because of the weaker yen during the six months period of the fiscal year under review, despite the non- operating loss posted due to the appreciation of the yen near the end of the period.

Full-year financial forecasts for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025 remain unchanged as of the time of this announcement, as the Company is carefully reviewing selling situations for each product while closely observing market trends. If necessary for revising its financial forecasts, the Company will promptly disclose revised forecasts.
