VULCAN INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION Executive Offices: 300 Delaware Avenue, Suite 1704 Wilmington, Delaware 19801 _______________________________________________________ IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 3, 2005 Vulcan International Corporation, the parent of Vulcan Corporation, a Tennessee corporation, a diversified manufacturer of rubber and foam with a manufacturing plant in Tennessee, announced that net revenues for the third quarter ending October 31, 2005 decreased to $1,352,764 from $1,700,117 in the third quarter of 2004. Net earnings from continuing operations decreased to $76,730 in the third quarter of 2005 from $476,776 in the third quarter of 2004. There was no income from discontinued operations in the third quarter of 2005 or 2004. Net gains on asset sales in the third quarter of 2005 were $50,909 compared to a loss of $20,850 in the third quarter of 2004. The Company had earnings in the third quarter ending September 30, 2005 of 13 cents per share as compared to 45 cents per share in the third quarter of 2004. For the nine month period ending September 30, 2005, the company had consolidated net earnings from continuing operations of $442,008 on revenues of $4,017,664. This compares to consolidated net earnings from continuing operations of $1,165,104 on revenues of $6,606,965 in 2004. Net income from discontinued operations in the nine month period of 2005 was none compared to $1,580,938 in 2004. Net gains on asset sales for the nine months ending September 30, 2005 were $117,358 compared to $160,634 in 2004. On a per share basis for the nine month period ending September 30, 2005, the Company had earnings of 57 cents per share compared to $2.88 in the nine months ending September 30, 2004.
