Due to extreme weather conditions, rivers and streams spilling over, landslides slipping, bridges being swept away and electricity supply failing there are currently some disruptions in the operation of telecommunication services, mainly in the north and west of Slovenia. Ground teams from Telekom Slovenije and GVO are working round the clock, doing everything in their power to ensure uninterrupted operations of both mobile and fixed services.
We know how important is the ability to communicate in order to protect and save lives and property in such exceptional situations. This provides people with the ability to communicate with their loved ones, as well as to coordinate the efforts of rescue workers, firefighters, and workers of other infrastructure services.
All ground teams are working under exceptionally demanding conditions. Access to some locations has been completely cut off or is perilous. We are and will remain working in the field. Comprehensive repairs will commence as soon as the weather and the safety levels will permit.
