Timestrip plc (the 'Company') (AIM: TIME)
Technology endorsed by German government agency
The Company is a developer and manufacturer of unique label technologies.
The Company is pleased to announce that its smart label technology known as the
Timestrip(R) has been accredited by Germany's equivalent of the UK's Food
Standards Agency, the Bundesverband der Lebensmittelkontrolleure. The
organisation, known as BVLK, is a member of the European Working Community for
Food Inspection and Consumer Protection.
BVLK concluded that Timestrip smart labels make 'a very good contribution to
food safety', commenting that the 'easily readable colour strip' on the label
makes it easy to determine the freshness, or otherwise, of a product. The
Company is now permitted to use the BVLK logo and state that its labels are
recommended by the organisation.
Reuben Isbitsky, Joint CEO, Timestrip plc: 'This is an important endorsement for
our technology. Almost a third of all organic food sold in the EU is consumed in
Germany so freshness is very important in this market. We will also leverage
this accreditation into global marketing initiatives and update shareholders on
progress in due course.'
