• Talgo is focusing the show on technology and the immersive visitor experience through different live activators

Berlin, September 22, 2026. Talgo, the leading Spanish company in the design, manufacture and maintenance of high-speed, lightweight rail vehicles, presents its most innovative railway solutions at InnoTrans 2026. The largest event in the global railway industry is being held from today, September 22, and until September 25 in Berlin. In 2024, this biennial fair brought together more than 2,900 exhibitors from 59 countries and gathered 169,000 visitors from 128 countries.

In Hall 4.2 (stand 450), Talgo will show a life-size model of one of the overnight coaches for Trafikverket's future long-distance fleet in Sweden, accompanied by a real 'rodal': Talgo's unique rolling assembly. This project is part of the contract signed in April with the Swedish Transport Administration, worth 756 million euros, which includes 9 day units, 11 overnight units, and their maintenance for ten years.

In addition, visitors will be able to tour the first passenger coach manufactured for FlixTrain, the result of a firm order for 30 units as part of a contract for up to 65 high-speed trains worth 2,400 million euros, based on the Talgo 230 platform. These trains will have full accessibility at platform level and a high level of digitalisation of systems. Each unit will consist of an end car with a driver's cab, a variable number of high-capacity intermediate passenger cars - including one for People with Reduced Mobility (PRM) - and an end car that will act as an interface with the locomotive.

3D Visualization

Talgo's space at InnoTrans has been designed with technology as the central axis, incorporating multiple demonstrators and activators, with an augmented virtual reality spot that allows trains and interiors to be visualised in 3D without the need for glasses. A demonstrator with scale models of all the company's main projects will also be on display.

Autonomous robot

The Maintenance Services team will have its own area at the stand and will be accompanied by TBot, an autonomous robot pioneering visual inspection in rail and designed to tour maintenance pits and analyse train undercarriages to capture large volumes of visual and thermal data without the need for human intervention. The robot is in the testing phase and is estimated to enter service in 2027 to save up to 20% of time in maintenance work.

Talgo Deutschland will have a career spot dedicated to recruiting in a time of growth marked by an order book at an all-time high, and while the Maintenance Equipment business area - non-rolling machinery designed by Talgo and used by operators around the world in segments ranging from tram networks to freight railway companies - will be shown in its own space, in Hall 22.
