Talga Group Ltd ('Talga' or 'the Company') (ASX:TLG) provides an update on the Nunasvaara South graphite mine exploitation concession, granted by the Mining Inspectorate of Sweden (Bergsstaten) on 17 October 2024 (ASX:TLG 18 October 2024). Whilst the appeals period for one direct stakeholder remains open during December, the Mining Inspectorate has confirmed that an appeal has been received and that the matter will now be referred to the Swedish Government's Ministry of Climate and Enterprise for processing. The exploitation concession will enter force if the Ministry denies the appeal, enabling Talga to take the permit into immediate use. Talga's local permitting team will advance resolution of this appeals process along with finalising remaining administrative permits as part of the project development and planned schedule. Talga CEO, Martin Phillips , commented: 'With the Project's key permits in force or granted we now focus on advancing customer offtake agreements and project financing structures.The recent successful EUR70m Innovation Fund grant application is another milestone achieved as we work towards final investment decision. The granting of the mine exploitation concession was followed by the Environmental and Natura 2000 permit entering force in October 2024 (ASX:TLG 31 October 2024 ). The Lulea Anode Refinery environmental permit entered force in July 2023 (ASX:TLG 17 July 2023 ) and the refinery building permits entered into force in March 2023 .
