Sumitomo Electric Industries : TV Appearance on Nikkei CNBC

On the morning of January 21st, I appeared on a program on Nikkei CNBC, a satellite broadcasting channel that specializes in market and economic news. My previous appearance on this program was in December 2024. This time around, I gave an overview of the company's interim financial results for Fiscal Year 2025 and the revision to the full-year earnings forecast that was announced last November. I also spoke about the company's business development, in particular the initiatives of the infocommunications business unit, which has recently been attracting a good deal of attention. Even though this was my third time appearing on the program, I still felt a bit of the nerves that came with it being a live broadcast. But the time passed quickly because there was so much to talk about, given the expansive scope of the Sumitomo Electric Group's businesses. Thanks to the consideration of the people working both in front of and behind the camera, the program went smoothly and I was able to communicate our company's activities. Afterwards I heard that the broadcast received a lot of positive feedback, and so I'd like to thank everyone who watched that day. In the future, I'd like to take advantage of more opportunities like this to provide our many stakeholders with meaningful information about the company.
