SUMCO Corporation ("SUMCO") is pleased to announce that it has received the "Kurumin Certification (2025 standards)," based on the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children, which recognized by the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare as a "childcare support company," effective October 31, 2025.

Under the "SUMCO Vision" which aims to be "Empower Employee Awareness of Profit," SUMCO is actively working to create a comfortable work environment where all employees can balance work and childcare. This initiative is part of the company's efforts to realize work-life balance for its employees and to further enhance corporate value.

In accordance with the general employer action plan formulated based on the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children, SUMCO has been focusing on expanding support measures for balancing work and childcare. In addition to offering various flexible work arrangements and leave options for childcare purposes, as well as providing on-site daycare facilities and childcare support allowances, the company is also emphasizing educational activities to increase the number of employees utilizing these systems. These efforts include e-learning training on childcare support and distribution of brochures introducing available programs to ensure that employees have a broader understanding of the systems and can utilize them effectively.

SUMCO will continue to work in unison with labor and management to implement various measures supporting employees with children, thereby further advancing the development of a worker-friendly environment.
