07/30/2026 Strong domestic and international demand leads to a tripling of the target volume Over 60 institutional investors participated Transaction strengthens financial flexibility for further profitable growth and M&A activities Mannheim, Germany. Bilfinger has successfully placed a Schuldscheindarlehen (a German law governed promissory note loan) with a total volume of €450 million on the capital market. In total, more than 60 institutional investors participated in the transaction. The proceeds will be paid out in two disbursements in July (€300 million) and December (€150 million) of this year. Due to exceptionally strong demand from domestic and international investors, the originally targeted volume of €150 million was significantly increased. The order book was closed early to ensure a balanced allocation. The funds raised provide Bilfinger with additional financial flexibility in implementing its Group strategy, particularly with regards to M&A activities. The Schuldscheindarlehen were structured with terms ranging from three to seven years and include both fixed-rate and floating-rate tranches. The transaction was arranged by a banking consortium comprising Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen, Raiffeisenbank International, and UniCredit. "The broad interest and significant oversubscription reflect the capital market's high confidence in Bilfinger's economic strength and strategic direction," says Matti Jäkel, Bilfinger Group CFO. "With this transaction, we are strengthening our financial flexibility to consistently pursue our course of sustainable profitable growth." This follows Bilfinger's BBB- investment-grade rating with a stable outlook, assigned by S&P Global Ratings last year, which already confirmed the company's positive trajectory.
