After completing his law degree in Bonn and Geneva and a corresponding legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Cologne, he started his professional career as a lawyer in Munich (1989). Stephan Eilers then joined the law firm Deringer in Cologne (1992), where he became a partner (1994). His speciality is tax law (doctorate in Bonn 1987; honorary professor at the University of Cologne since 2009). At Deringer, and after Deringer's merger with the UK law firm Freshfields (2000), he was responsible for the field of tax law and the firm's finances. He was appointed Executive Partner in 2010 and acted as Global Managing Partner of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer from 2015 to 2020. Stephan Eilers is married and has two children. Stephan Eilers has in-depth knowledge of tax and accounting law with a focus on corporate transactions. Thanks to his management experience in London, he has also acquired sound expertise in leading a global law firm and hence management skills in the field of international business services in various jurisdictions. Her professional career began in 1997 at JP Morgan, where she held senior positions in the Capital Markets and Asset Management divisions in London, New York, Paris and Milan until 2009. She was involved in internal product development, marketing and business development strategies, as well as restructuring projects across Europe. Her responsibilities included managing relationships with institutional clients, corporations and banks, as well as working closely with risk management and compliance units. In 2009, she took over the strategic management of the family's assets in Cologne, where she continues to oversee investment allocation, including private asset investments. Since 2022, Laure Henry-Souque has been a mentor at Article 1 in France, where she supports students with career planning and job applications in the financial sector. From 2023 to 2024, she also worked as a consultant for Oddo BHF in Frankfurt. In this role, she developed the 'Ladies Bank' initiative to promote financial education for women in Germany. She is married and has three children. With over 25 years of international experience in capital markets, asset management, and strategic investment management, Laure Henry-Souque possesses a wide spectrum of experience and expertise that combines international financial expertise, governance, risk management and strategic business development within the European region. These skills make her ideally suited to contribute value to supervisory and advisory boards, particularly at the intersection of financial strategy, risk management, governance and sustainable corporate development.
