LAVAL, July 25 /CNW Telbec/ - Stellar Pacific Ventures Inc. (SPX) is pleased to report that it has concluded an agreement with Twin Mining Corp (TWG) in which the company has the option to acquire interest in Twin's Abitibi Gold Properties. The option covers the prospective Normar property together with 63 north- boundary claims as well as the Malartic "H", Malartic "H" Annex and Mouskor properties which adds up to total prospective land packages of 2,701 hectares. On the Normar property, where Twin Mining discovered two new mineralized areas of which at least one has potential of gold, the depth and strike extension potential will be tested. This zone has an indicated width of approximately 100 meters, a strike length of more than 500 meters and an apparent steep northerly dip (see Twin Mining press release January 8, 2004) A drilling campaign on the Normar, property optioned from Breakwater Resources Ltd. (see press release of September 11, 2003) succeeded in detecting two new mineralized areas at least one of which has potential of concentration of gold. Three profiles holes drilled into a package of intrusive highly altered tonalite intersected gold values which showed a more than eightfold increase in the lower 40 meters from hole TMN-03-07 to hole TNM-03-08 approximately 130 meters vertically below. Hole TMN-03-31, collared 400 meters to the west, encountered 148.7 meters of tonalite and produced a 1.5 meters intersection of 5.67 g/t Au. Hole TMN-03-19 on east zone, returned an uncut assay of 44.7 g/t Au from a 0.6 meter interval within a 12.5 intersection containing numerous blue to smokey quartz injection veinlet and veins, sericitic alteration and silicification, arsenopyrite, pyrhotite and pyrite. All technical information on properties has been obtained from Twin Mining Corp and were prepared by Mr. Dallas W. Davis, P. Eng. Of Dalmin Corporation, Mr. Davis is Twin Mining's qualified Person for the design, execution and interpretation of the Abitibi gold properties. The company has completed in 2004 a public financing of $898,000 for the purpose of exploration expenditures in QuDebec Province and in 2005 intends to conduct a program of drill testing of the above newly discovered zone which is in the northern part of the Normar property within or along the margin of the Cadillac fault. The company will also prepare a systematic compilation of all exploration results, including digitization of geological units, geochemical and geophysical anomalies and assay results in order to construct a 3D model of mineralized areas of the property. In order to maintain the option and to earn 51% interest Stellar shall: - pay Twin Mining $15,000 upon the execution of this Agreement - pay all annual taxes and otherwise maintain the optioned claims in good standing - pay to Breakwater each September 1, until 2008, $25,000 in property payments - fund at least an aggregate of $1,900,000 in expenditures for work on or for the benefit of the Breakwater claims on or before September 1, 2008 Once Stellar has exercised the granted options, within the period provided, a joint venture will be deemed to have been formed between Twin Mining, Stellar and Breakwater. The terms of the joint venture agreement will be negotiated, prepared and finalized in accordance with the Breakwater Option. Twin Mining shall retain its rights under the Breakwater Option to acquire an additional 20% by making certain cash payments. The Breakwater Option provides also for the acquisition of the remaining 20% interest and a buyout of the residual NSR of 1.5% for $1.5 million. If Twin Mining elects not to exercise its rights under the Breakwater Option, these rights will be assigned to Stellar without further consideration.
