Stellar cuts two high grade gold veins at depth (13.28 g/t Au over 1.1 m and 10.52 g/t Au over 2.2 m) on its Vassan property

LAVAL, QC, July 11 /CNW/ - Stellar Pacific Ventures (SPX) is pleased to announce the first results of its summer drilling program on the Vassan property located within the Val d'Or gold camp. The program is testing the depth extension of the Hamelin Zone.

Hole V2007-02 intersected two zones of massive sulphides (30 cm and 50 cm) at a vertical depth of 500 metres within an ultramafic sequence. Sulphides mostly consist of pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite. As observed at higher levels of the Hamelin deposit, total sulphide content is a good indicator of gold values. The following results include the two massive sulphide intersections as well as stringer material observed on both sides of the main veins. Many more results from that hole are pending.

FROM TO WIDTH Au Cu
(m) (m) (m) g/t %
------------------------------------------------
620,20 621,30 1,10 13,28 0,96
------------------------------------------------
626,40 628,60 2,20 10,52 0,47
------------------------------------------------

Regrouping these two intersections into a single one gives 4.56 g/t Au over 8.4 metres.

Hole V2007-02 was drilled in the vicinity of holes AB-98-01 (16.40 g/t Au and 0.42 % Cu over 1.0 m and 7.54 g/t Au and 0.52 % Cu over 1.1 m), V2006-12 (10.43 g/t Au, 6.6 g/t Ag and 0.64% Cu over 1 metre) and V2006-13 (16.03 g/t Au over 0.33 metre and 5.86 g/t Au over 0.62 metre).

Two drill rigs are actually testing the depth extension of the Hamelin deposit. The drilling program consists of seven holes totally approximately 5,000 m.

All samples are being prepared and assayed at Laboratoire Expert of Rouyn-Noranda. The company has a QAQC program that includes systematic use of gold standards and blanks as well as re-assaying of all samples grading above 1 g/t Au (pulp) and all samples grading above 10 g/t Au (pulp and reject). Average values are being used as official results.

Pierre O'Dowd, geologist and Qualified Person as per National Instrument 43-101, is responsible for preparing the technical information contained in the release. He is also in charge of supervising the drilling program.

Stellar Pacific Venture Inc. is a junior mining exploration company listed on the TSX-V whose primary objective is to develop and bring into production viable gold deposits.
