TORONTO, Dec. 18 /CNW/ - Mr. Viraf Kapadia, Chairman and C.E.O. of Star Navigation Systems Group Ltd. ("Star"), developer of Flight Safety and Fleet Monitoring Systems, is very pleased to announce that one of the highlights of Star's 4th Annual General Meeting, held today, was the introduction of Mr. Jean-Louis Larmor as Co-CEO of Star.
Mr. Larmor has for some time been a member of Star's Strategic Advisory Committee, and brings to the Co-CEO position an extensive background in the Aerospace Industry. His experience ranges from company management, to strategic analysis, business development, program management, sales and support. Previous positions include Director - Thales International Canada, Director Business Development - Aerospace, Thales International, North America, Vice-President - Strategy and Business Development, Sextant Avionique, and Marketing and Sales positions with Aerospatiale, France.
Mr. Kapadia said, "Star's 4th Annual General Meeting was the best yet. The questions from shareholders were varied and thoughtful. Our COO, John MacKenzie explained his view of Star and its role in the industry over the coming year and our VP Sales and Marketing, John Campana, spoke to his vision of Star's market over the next two years. Both addresses were very well received by shareholders. I was especially gratified by Jean-Louis Larmor's closing comments to the meeting. His knowledge of the Aerospace Industry and his strategic viewpoint were much in evidence throughout his remarks.
