* Real estate, healthcare, and consumer discretionary were the top gaining sectors, up 3.67%, 2.37%, and 1.55%, respectively.
* Among individual stocks, On'ally Holdings PLC CSELK:ONAL.N0000 and Industrial Asphalts (Ceylon) PLC CSELK:ASPH.N0000 were the top percentage gainers on the benchmark index, rising 25% and 20%, respectively.
* Trading volumes surged to 377 million shares from 97.9 million in the previous session.
* The equity market's turnover jumped to 4.13 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($12.9 million) from 2.15 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
* Foreign investors were net buyers, purchasing stocks worth 143.9 million rupees, while domestic investors were net sellers, selling shares worth 4.05 billion rupees, the data showed.
