Sri Lankan shares closed higher on Thursday, extending their record rally to a thirteenth consecutive session.
* The CSE All-Share index CSELK:ASI rose nearly 0.5% to 21,951.79.
* Distilleries Companies of Sri Lanka Plc CSELK:DIST.N0000 and Melstacorp Plc CSELK:MELS.N0000 were the biggest boosts to the CSE All-Share index.
* Trading volume fell to 192.1 million shares from 225.2 million in the previous session.
* The equity market's turnover rose to 6.52 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($21.6 million), compared with 6.46 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
* Foreign investors were net buyers of shares worth 191.9 million rupees in the equity market, while domestic investors were net sellers of shares worth 6.37 billion rupees, data showed.
