Sri Lankan shares closed lower on Monday, dragged by losses in consumer discretionary and financials stocks.
* The CSE All Share index CSELK:ASI settled down 1% at 23,223.68 rupees, closing lower for third straight session.
* Ceylinco Holdings PLC CSELK:CINS.N0000 and Sathosa Motors PLC CSELK:SMOT.N0000 were the top percentage losers on the CSE All Share, down 13.7% and 11.2%, respectively.
* Trading volume on the CSE All Share index fell to 138.7 million shares from 218.8 million shares in the previous session.
* The equity market's turnover declined to 4.46 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($14.54 million) from 5.62 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
* Foreign investors were net sellers of stocks worth 264.1 million rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 4.35 billion rupees, the data showed.
