Together, the companies aim to co-develop innovative solutions that enhance situational understanding and response effectiveness in industrial operations. Under the MoU, Aramco, one of the world's leading integrated energy and chemicals companies, will provide domain knowledge, data, and infrastructure to evaluate Sony's technologies in real-world industrial settings. Sony will contribute its expertise in image sensing, edge AI, and related technologies. The collaboration will focus on practical applications that can help advance industrial AI capabilities. The parties currently contemplate exploring opportunities in areas including, but not limited to: Industrial Sensing and Situation Monitoring: Exploring the application of Sony's advanced image sensing and AI technologies to industrial environments, capitalizing on Aramco ' s infrastructure and data to develop new approaches to situational awareness. AI-Enabled Industrial Intelligence: Assessing opportunities to combine Sony's sensing and AI capabilities with Aramco's industrial knowledge to explore rapid response coordination capabilities. Advanced Intelligence Integration: Exploring the integration of image and video intelligence with Aramco's AI platforms to advance multimodal understanding and support the development of new industrial AI applications. The collaboration leverages Aramco ' s scale of operations, extensive data assets, and 90+ years of operational experience as a real-world testing environment for emerging technologies.
