Aiming for IoT applications, Sonix Introduced the Consumer IP Camera Solution-SN986xx series

Internet of Things (IoT) is the most important trend of IT
industry along with the software and hardware integration
and cooperation of companies from upstream and downstream.
Among all of the IoT applications, home security is the most
fast-growing segment.  Seeing the growing market trend of
consumer IP cameras, the leader of web-camera chip supplier
Sonix announced to launch a series of turnkey solution-
SN986xx for camera makers. 
Sonix dedicate to co-operate with customers to build up a
new concept of smart home security system by providing a 
SoC solution with high performance of hardware, more
flexibility of software and more simplicity of development
process.   

The SN986XX series is the first 32bit ARM Base SoC image
solution of Sonix. It equipped with a H.264/MJPEG Codec
which can support to the compression rate of FHD at 30
frames per second and embedded an ARM926EJ-S CPU with high
speed of 360 MHz. In addition, the series also built up with
Audio ADC/DAC and USB 2.0 Host/PHY that enabled customers to
reduce the cost of adding external Audio IC and provide
multiple sensor interfaces including Parallel and MIPI. 
The series also embedded SDHC、Ethernet MAC and SIP 64MB 
DDR2 to reduce design complexity of substrates and trim the
system cost. All of these hardware designs are aiming for
customers' demands. There are two solutions of SN986XX
series: SN98600 and SN98610. SN98600 is packaged with
LQFP128. It's the smallest package size of the market and
the SN98610 is packaged with LBGA292. 

In the trend of system integration, an IC supplier can not
only provide hardware of chips.  It is more vital to keep
closer partnership with downstream customers by offering
flexible platform and fastening development process. To
satisfied customers demands, Sonix provided a simple and
easy development process and reliable customer service
platform. Sonix offered a SDK Build Code Environment (SSBCE)
to simplify complicated SDK setup and operation process. The
modular software structure enables customers to customize
their software design and setup.
