Somec announces the establishment of Fabbrica Europe S.r.l., a new subsidiary of Somec S.p.A. and part of the Horizons division, engineered systems for naval architecture and civil facades. Fabbrica Europe, headquartered in San Biagio di Callalta (Treviso), will serve as the coordination center for the Group's commercial, design and operational activities in the European curtain wall market.
The new company combines the strength and international credibility of the Group with the experience gained in the United States by Fabbrica LLC and with an Italian production base focused on delivering custom solutions. The industrial goal is to replicate in Europe the organizational and business model developed overseas by Fabbrica LLC, adapting it to the local market. The "Lean Curtain Wall Factory" industrial model will enable rapid adaptation of resources and manufacturing capabilities to the volumes and characteristics of projects, including the most intricate and complex ones.
Managers with proven experience will support the development strategy: Carlo Dal Cin, as Chief Operating Officer, and Massimo Mazzer, who will contribute to the company's commercial development.
Oscar Marchetto, Chairman of the Somec Group, stated: "We are consolidating design expertise, production capacity and international experience to build an efficient, flexible and competitive European platform. In Europe, London in particular is the ideal starting point: it is one of the world's most advanced and selective markets for architectural facades and a prime showcase for high-value-added projects."
The establishment of Fabbrica Europe falls in the year of Fabbrica LLC's tenth anniversary and follows the recent award of the record contract for 350 Park Avenue, in the heart of Manhattan.
