SmarTone customers can use this service on a compatible smartphone without changing their SIM card or phone number. This service ensures that customers can stay connected even in remote areas while hiking, at sea, or during emergencies and natural disasters. SmarTone's new Satellite Voice and SMS Service is compatible with the HUAWEI Pura 70 Ultra and is available for a monthly fee of HK$28.
SmarTone's Satellite Voice and SMS Service requires only a simple setup, allowing customers to connect to the Tiantong Satellite network using compatible smartphones to make and receive calls, and send messages. SmarTone customers can always stay connected even in remote areas without mobile network coverage, such as mountainous regions or high seas. When faced with local network disruptions caused by natural disasters like wildfires or floods, customers can still make calls or send messages for assistance during emergencies1.
