(TSX: SCL.SV.A, SCL.MV.B) TORONTO, Aug. 30 /CNW/ - ShawCor Ltd. (TSX: SCL.SV.A, SCL.MV.B) today announced that it has confirmed the selection of a site in Hay River to provide services to the oil and gas industry in the Northwest Territories. These services will be provided in partnership with Northern Transportation Company Limited and Naegha Zhia Inc. and will be conducted from NTCL's harbour location. The NTCL property is zoned for industrial use with direct rail access and barge loading facilities, making it the preferred location for heavy industrial work in Hay River. It is an excellent property for storage and material handling as well as a good potential training site and is the ideal location for ShawCor to provide products and services to the growing, northern oil and gas industry. No other site in the Hay River area could be used for these purposes without incurring additional handling and transportation costs and posing a potential disturbance to the community. Naegha Zhia Inc. the corporate operating arm of the Katlodeeche First Nation, is also willing to supply additional land for the provision of these services if required. ShawCor Ltd. is a Canadian energy services company specializing in products and services for the pipeline, exploration and production, and petrochemical and industrial segments of the oil and gas industry.
