SentinelOne and Lenovo Expand Partnership to Bring AI Security & Governance to the ThinkShield Security Portfolio

SentinelOne's AI and EDR gives security teams visibility, policy control, detection and response over AI risk now extending Lenovo's ThinkShield security portfolio into AI governance

LAS VEGAS, Nev. and MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - October 21 - SentinelOne® (NYSE:S), the AI Security leader, today announced an expanded partnership with Lenovo that will bring SentinelOne's AI security to Lenovo's ThinkShield security portfolio. The expansion builds on Lenovo's existing collaboration with SentinelOne for endpoint detection and response (EDR), by introducing visibility into and governance over AI agents and use on Lenovo ThinkShield endpoints through SentinelOne Prompt Security.

As AI moves from pilots into daily workflows, security teams are being asked to govern a growing set of AI tools, data flows, and autonomous agents Organizations need visibility and control over how AI is used before they can adopt it at scale.

"Security leaders are being asked to enable AI across the business and answer for where company data goes," said Melissa K. Smith, SVP, Global Strategic Partnerships and Initiatives at SentinelOne. "SentinelOne Prompt Security gives them visibility into the AI tools in use and control over how data is shared, protecting against data leakage, prompt injection, and AI misuse. Through Lenovo ThinkShield, we are bringing that control to more organizations as they adopt AI."

"As AI shifts from assisting people to acting on their behalf, trust becomes even more of a priority," said Nima Baiati, Vice President and General Manager, Commercial Software and Security Solutions, Lenovo. "Security teams need to know not only which AI tools are in use, but also how those tools interact with corporate data, devices and digital assets. SentinelOne Prompt Security adds another layer of trust into our ThinkShield ecosystem, providing the proactive AI governance and end-to-end security foundation organizations need to accelerate AI adoption safely, reduce risk, and maintain control."

A core part of SentinelOne's AI Security portfolio, SentinelOne Prompt Security gives security teams visibility and policy control over enterprise AI use, and now joins Lenovo's ThinkShield security portfolio, extending the companies' existing collaboration from endpoint security into AI governance. Through this partnership expansion, security teams can:

  • See AI use: Identify which AI services are in use across the workforce, including both sanctioned AI and shadow AI.
  • Protect data: Prevent sensitive data from reaching unauthorized AI applications, so employees keep using AI while the organization controls what leaves it.
  • Enforce policy: Apply governance policies in real time.
  • Extend endpoint security: Build on SentinelOne's endpoint security capabilities, already part of ThinkShield through the existing collaboration.
  • Add expert services: Combine Prompt Security with Lenovo's Security Services expertise to accelerate AI adoption while strengthening governance, reducing risk, and improving cyber resilience.
