Response to CMA Announcement

Trainline plc ("Trainline", the "Company" or the "Group"), Europe's leading independent rail travel platform, notes today's announcement by the Competition and Markets Authority ("CMA") regarding the opening of an investigation under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 ("DMCCA") into the presentation of certain UK fees throughout the booking flow at Trainline.

Trainline is committed to delivering genuine value to the millions of customers who rely on us every day, providing a transparent booking experience with clear pricing. This is reflected in our 4.9 star app rating.

Trainline has proactively engaged with the CMA over several months and is taking steps to enhance the presentation of certain fees. We will continue to work constructively with the CMA to ensure our customer experience remains both transparent and compliant.

Trainline is committed to full compliance with all applicable consumer laws, including the DMCCA, and will continue to cooperate fully with the CMA.
