Total Assets of the Group have increased by Rs. 675 Mn from Rs. 7,566 Mn as at 31stMarch 2025 to Rs.8,240 Mn as at 30thJune 2025. Total Non-Current Assets were Rs. 4,432 Mn and Total Current Assets were Rs.3,809 Mn as at 30thJune 2025.

Equity Attributable to Owners of the Company

Equity attributable to Owners of the Company has decreased by Rs. 9 Mn from Rs. 3,752 Mn as at 31stMarch 2025 to Rs. 3,743 Mn as at 30thJune 2025.

Net Asset Per Share (NAPS)

The NAPS has decreased to Rs. 4.69 as at 30thJune 2025 compared with Rs. 4.70 per share recorded as at 31stMarch 2025.

Analysis on Statement of Profit or Loss and Other Comprehensive Income Revenue & Expenses

Group revenue has increased by 41% to Rs. 2,024 Mn for the quarter ended 30thJune 2025 compared with Rs. 1,440 Mn in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The composition of the Group Revenue for the quarter was 88% from exports and 12% from local sales.

Total group admin and selling expenses have decreased by 24% to Rs. 99 Mn for the quarter ended 30thJune 2025 compared with Rs. 130 Mn in the corresponding quarter in the previous year.

Profit / (Loss) After Tax

The Group reported a loss amounting to Rs. 13 Mn for the quarter ended 30thJune 2025 compared to the Loss of Rs. 32 Mn reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Earnings / (Loss) Per Share

Loss per Share was Rs. 0.02 for the quarter ended 30thJune 2025, compared to Rs. 0.04 in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

    Notes to the Interim Financial Statements
    1. Basis of preparation

      The Interim Financial Statements of Renuka Agri Foods PLC have been prepared in compliance with Sri Lanka Accounting Standard LKAS 34 -Interim Financial Reporting and subjected to audit. These Interim Financial Statements are to be read in conjunction with the annual reports for the year ended 31st March 2024.

    2. Comparative figures

      The presentation and classification of figures for the corresponding period of the previous year have been rearranged where relevant, to be comparable with those for the current period.

      For management purposes, the Group is organized into business units based on their products and services, and performance reported under two segments (i.e. Manufacturing and Plantations & Distribution) during the period under review.

    3. Stated Capital

      The stated capital of the company consists of 798,829,305 shares issued as at 30thJune 2025.

    4. Contingent liabilities

      There is no change in the nature of the contingent liabilities as at 30thJune 2025 as compared to the contingent liabilities which were disclosed in the accounts for the year ended 31st March 2025.

    6. Public shareholding

      The percentage of shares held by the public as at 30thJune 2025 amounted to 24% (31st March 2025 - 24%) of the Stated Capital. The number of shareholders representing the public holding was 5,930 as at 30thJune 2025 (31st March 2025 - 5,987). The float adjusted market capitalization was Rs. 729 Mn as at 30thJune 2025. The Company has over 20% public shareholding and over 500 public shareholders, meeting the minimum thresholds for compliance with minimum public holding under option 5 as per section 7.13.1(i) (a) of the continuing listing requirement of Colombo Stock Exchange.

    10. Earnings per share

Earnings per share have been calculated by dividing profit attributable to ordinary equity holders by the number of ordinary shares as given in the LKAS 33.
