Renaissance Gold Announces Management Changes

Mar. 29, 2011 (Filing Services Canada) -- Renaissance Gold Inc. (REN - TSX Venture), is pleased to announce that Ronald L. Parratt has been appointed to the office of Executive Chairman of the Board, Richard L. Bedell has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer and Eric M. Struhsacker has been appointed Vice President Exploration effective March 31, 2011.  Renaissance Gold Inc. is the spinout company resulting from the acquisition of AuEx Ventures Inc. by Fronteer Gold Inc. in November 2010.

Commenting on the changes, Ronald L. Parratt stated "It was over 8 years ago that Richard Bedell and I started AuEx with a vision of building an exploration company that would identify new exploration opportunities in Nevada and then explore these projects with industry partners using a joint venture business approach. That strategy worked very well for AuEx and our shareholders and also forms the core business strategy for RenGold. I look forward to continuing to execute this strategy and, in my new role, to more actively participate in identifying new exploration opportunities for the company and working in concert with Richard, Eric and the rest of our technical team."

Richard L. Bedell adds "RenGold has an enormous traction from AuEx and the retention of our entire portfolio, minus just the 3 projects in the immediate Pequop District which were part of the agreement with Fronteer Gold Inc. Not only do we think we are well positioned to take advantage of the growth of the Pequop District with our Wood Hills and Spruce Mountain projects but we have several new regional plays in the making with strong precious metal mineralization. We have also retained the entire team and board so all the momentum and purpose of AuEx is at full steam. We are going to see major growth in our Nevada and Argentina assets during 2011 as well as continued drilling and significant expenditures by our joint venture partner in Spain. These are very exciting times."
