The Boiler light up for the second unit of the plant has been
done in 22 months from start of boiler erection. With the
commissioning of this unit by end of the year end, full
capacity of 600 MW will be available from this plant.
The investment of over ` 3600 crore in the Butibori plant
represents one of the biggest investments in Maharashtra. The
plant is among the compact sized thermal plants in the
country with its 600 MW capacity requiring no more than 275
acres of
plant land.
