Alexey Kusliy's crew of the Uskovskaya mine has produced 2 million tons of coal
November 28, 2024 - Uskovskaya mine of Raspadskaya Coal Company (RUC) has reached the two million ton mark in coal production for this year, having fulfilled the annual plan ahead of schedule. High performance was achieved by section No. 5 under the leadership of section head Dmitry Roganov, foreman Alexey Kusliy and mechanic Evgeny Zuev.
Vladimir Melnichenko, General Director of RUK, congratulated the miners, noting their labor and professionalism, and wished them further success and safe work.
Two million tons of coking coal of GZh grade were extracted from faces 48-04 and 48-10. The period between the first and the second million tons amounted to only 4 months, despite the breaks for equipment reassembly. It was possible to extract coal on time and meet the production program thanks to the modernization of equipment and new technological schemes, including the use of a new shearer and an updated mechanized complex. The specialists also applied a new scheme of mechanized support section sliding in the face, which had a favorable effect on the quality of the mined coal in terms of ash content.
All sections of the mine contributed to the achievement: tunneling teams prepared the cleaning front, specialists of the Mine Transport section ensured delivery of materials, and Conveyor Transport controlled coal transportation. The Aerological Safety section was responsible for a safe aerogas environment.
The Uskovskaya mine produces valuable coking coal of GZh grade, which, after beneficiation, is supplied to metallurgical and coke-chemical enterprises in Russia and South-East Asia.
