Here's a look at some of the quarter's most notable agreements that highlight the range of growth opportunities across Marriott's portfolio.
A landmark 10-hotel agreement accelerates growth in Saudi Arabia: In June, Marriott International announced a multi-property agreement with Blacksand to develop 10 hotels across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia over the next four years. The multi-brand deal is expected to add more than 1,300 rooms across the Kingdom and include projects spanning Marriott's luxury, premium, select-service, and extended-stay portfolios, underscoring Marriott's focus on supporting Saudi Arabia's tourism ambitions and long-term growth.

Situated on the shores of one of Bavaria's most renowned leisure destinations, the resort is expected to feature 119 guestrooms, suites, apartments, and villas across 25 buildings designed to reflect the region's architectural heritage. The anticipated opening is slated to expand Marriott's luxury footprint in Europe while bringing The Luxury Collection's destination-driven approach to a market known for its natural beauty, wellness traditions, and cultural heritage.

Design Hotels' largest portfolio expansion to date: Design Hotels signed its largest portfolio expansion through agreements with the owners of 18 hotels operated by Los Angeles-based hospitality company Palisociety. Spanning 10 U.S. destinations and representing more than 1,000 rooms, the anticipated additions are expected to strengthen Design Hotels' presence in the Americas while bringing a collection of highly distinctive, design-led properties into Marriott Bonvoy's global travel platform.
Le Petit Pali Laguna Beach, ARRIVE Albuquerque, Palihotel MelroseThe addition of Trailborn Jackson Hole expands the Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy portfolio: Marriott signed an agreement to bring Trailborn Jackson Hole into the Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, further building on the two companies' relationship and growing Marriott's outdoor adventure offerings. Located in Jackson, Wyoming, at the base of Snow King Mountain, the hotel officially joined the brand's portfolio in May and provides guests with access to renowned national parks and year-round recreation.

JW Marriott to debut in Nepal: Marriott is expanding its luxury portfolio in South Asia with the signing of the JW Marriott Hotel Kathmandu, marking the anticipated debut of the company's flagship luxury brand in Nepal. The agreement reinforces Marriott's focus on growing in high-potential destinations across the region while bringing the JW Marriott brand's emphasis on well-being, exceptional service, and refined hospitality to a new market.
Signing Ceremony for JW Marriott Hotel KathmanduLe Méridien to enter the Whitsundays: In Australia, Marriott signed Le Méridien Lindeman Island, marking the company's anticipated debut in the Whitsundays, one of the country's most iconic leisure destinations. Set on a tropical island known for its natural beauty and outdoor adventures, the future resort is slated to introduce Le Méridien's distinctive blend of culture, design, and destination-inspired experiences to the region while strengthening Marriott's resort portfolio across Australia.
CALA: City Express by Marriott Experiences Robust Regional Growth
Brazil: In June, Marriott signed two City Express by Marriott projects in Brazil: a 200-room hotel in Recife and a 150-room hotel in Granja Viana, Cotia (São Paulo). These expected additions bring the brand's Brazil pipeline to 14 projects, totaling 1,815 rooms. The signings build on seven deals announced in March 2026, including three projects with Fábrica de Hotéis under a long-term agreement to develop 30 properties across Northeast Brazil over the next 15 years, and four projects with Justa & Utg Empreendimentos.
Dominican Republic: In April, Grupo Nivel announced an agreement with Marriott International to develop a 111-room City Express by Marriott hotel as part of the Aura Boulevard mixed-use project in Punta Cana. Located on the Frank Rainieri Boulevard del Este, the development will also include approximately 900 residential units, a retail plaza, and wellness and recreational amenities, integrating residential, commercial, and hospitality offerings within a single complex. The agreement for City Express by Marriot AURA, was announced during the project's groundbreaking ceremony.

Four Points by Sheraton to expand in the heart of Chengdu: Marriott signed an agreement for Four Points by Sheraton Chengdu Kuanzhai Alley, located in the historic and cultural center of Chengdu's Qingyang District near the city's iconic Kuanzhai Alleys. Situated within 500 meters of a metro station, the hotel is expected to offer convenient connections to the city's airports and high-speed railway hubs. The signing is set to bring the brand to a well-connected location that places guests close to one of Chengdu's most celebrated cultural destinations.
